Anyone got an Amdega Conservatory - whats the size/price.?

Q) Im looking at getting a contemparary one (maybe 5m x 4m) - wondered what anyone else thought or what they had paid?

A) We've had one up for about 5 years, approx 30 sq m. The building work was about £9,000, the conservatory kit about £30,000 and the internal fittings etc. including underfloor heating and stone tiling another £10,000. Call it £50,000 all in. We live in it at least eight months of the year and weekends in winter. Keeping the heat on high all winter is too expensive. Despite what they say about insulation it's just a big glass box It's a fabulous conservatory the guys who built it were great but beware. Amdega themselves are a terrible company to deal with when it comes to warranty work. Again not the fault of their craftsmen who have been excelent but total lack of organisaton by the people at head office. We have been waiting nearly two years to have 4 panes of glass renewed in the roof. Just the seals gone and condensation between panes. The workers have turned up on time but Amdega have either not delivered the glass or sent the wrong stuff. I can't say don't get one as they really are much better than the PVC alternative. Think very carefully about the colour you get - ours is olive green which we feel keeps the whole thing very low key. Happy to answer any other questions you may have Regards John.
